Literature Text

You are the refrains of terrible villanelle
The ramblings of a writer with no real story to tell
The rigidity of a sestina gone way overboard
The cliché of some unspeakable feared Dark Lord
The tastelessness of a Mills and Boon
The disappointment of a plot twist revealed too soon
The sheer obviousness of an infodump
The clumsiness of a random character jump
The saccharine quality of a Mary Sue
The transparency of a mystery too easy to see through

For too long I’ve put up with your insufferable diction
Stuck my neck out for someone who doesn’t even care
It’s high time I freed myself from this sickly affliction
Time to show you the true meaning of deleted affair

It's the opposite to her poem ^^
Instead of an ILOVEYOU poem involving maths, this is an IHATEYOU poem involving English. As in, literary techniques and devices and ... stuff ... =]

I actually went on Wikipedia to get literary techniques and stuff to put in here.
Writing a lit-themed poem about HATE is a lot easier than writing one about LOVE.

And a deleted affair actually is the name of a literary device. XD

This poem will probably read best if you know what all the terms and stuff mean...

I was going to call this poem Sticks and Stones but I don't know, that just sounds lame. And more lame because I'm submitting it for RawEm0tion's Sticks and Stones theme.
So I've gone with "...and words?"
Like, you know... sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. sure...

:faints:

This has all the qualities of a fave (for me)...rhythm, rhyme and an actual story behind it.

Very nicely done!
